The Olympus Stylus 790 SW digital compact camera has been available for a few months now, so high time to interrogate this new member of the Stylus family. The Olympus Stylus 790 is a camera belonging to the successful series of cameras Olympus once entered the film era with. The first analogue Stylus cameras were true gadgets; very compact and equipped with beautiful bright optics (Stylus II). It was quite logical to take the Stylus concept along to the digital era from the traditional one and here we are, a few generations later with the Olympus Stylus 790SW camera.

Besides the aforementioned special features the Olympus Stylus 790 SW is a compact camera with specifications one can expect from a compact camera. The 7.1 Megapixels of resolution and the applied 3x optical zoom make this digital camera keep pace with the competition. The optical zoom lens stays inside the camera to ensure the waterproof state of the camera. The Olympus Stylus 790 SW uses an internal memory of approximately 15MB for storage and offers the possibility to enhance the memory with an xD Picture card.

The Olympus Stylus 790 SW is a handy camera to always carry with you. The camera's shockproof and waterproof features make the camera stand out from the crowd.
