Parrot, a leader in wireless peripherals around the mobile phone, is demonstrating two new cutting-edge consumer elec-tronics technologies at the Consumer Electronics Show. They include a digital photo frame that accepts photos transferred from cell phones via MMS, as well as a line of products with easy-pairing Near Field Communications (NFC) technology that eliminates the manual pairing process typically required for Bluetooth and other wireless devices.

Parrot DF7700 MMS digital picture frame
The new PARROT DF7700 7-inch digital photo frame has an integrated SIM card with a dedicated call number so consumers can send photos to that number across a room or around the world just as easily as they would send a text message. Now, newly weds can send photos instantly from their honeymoon and families can share pictures of new babies with parents and grandparents wherever they are in the world. The possibilities are endless. The new PARROT DF7700 frame also features a USB connection and an SD card slot for more conventional methods of photo transfer. The PARROT DF7700 is a real electronic photo album, storing over 500 snaps in its internal memory, accepting all photos, whatever the source. The Parrot MMS digital photo frame is currently only available in France and is being sold through a French telecom.

Parrot products with NFC
Parrot is presenting at CES its first NFC-enabled prototype products for trial comprising of a digital photo frame, a stereo speaker system, a conferencing system and a car kit which all work with a Nokia NFC-enabled phone. “Parrot is committed to developing products that make people’s lives easier, and achieving this goal starts with making products intuitive and easy to use,” says Henri Seydoux, founder and CEO of Parrot, Inc. “Parrot welcomes any industry initiative such as NFC that helps improve the customer experience via simplicity of use and more user-friendly features.” By playing an active part in the NFC Forum initiative Parrot is helping ensure that NFC is implemented to its full potential in all future products.
