At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas nine digital Kodak cameras were introduced. Among them the new Kodak Z1085 IS digital compact camera. The Kodak EasyShare Z1085 IS camera offers 10.0 Megapixels and a 5x optical zoom lens. According to Kodak the camera incorporates a professional quality Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon lens which delivers high quality sharpness and remarkable precision. More pixels mean you can crop and enlarge, and still have great image quality images. The 35-175 mm optical lens is an average fast one with f/2.8-f/5.1 aperture. 5x digital zoom allows you to get even closer. The Kodak EasyShare Z1085 IS digital compact camera is available in March at $249.95.

The new Kodak Z1085 IS features a 2.5-inch format high resolution color LCD. View pictures with brilliance and clarity on the wide-angle, high resolution 2.5 in. (6.4 cm) color display. Whether you shoot your pictures vertically or horizontally, view them right-side-up with the orientation sensor. In review mode, quickly magnify up to 8x, fast scroll through pictures, or view multi-up. 64MB internal memory, the SDHC/SD flash memory card expansion slot lets you keep shooting longer.

The compression is using less memory giving you a long video capture time. The optional Kodak EasyShare HDTV dock lets you view your photos on your HDTV and elevate your high definition experience. Connect to your Kodak HDTV Dock however you want; place your Kodak EasyShare Z1085 IS camera on it, use an SD card, USB flash drive, or card reader attached to the USB port The camera can playback HD video at 720p and 1080i resolution.

Every time you click the shutter, the Kodak Color Science Chip performs an instantaneous and advanced analysis of collected scene data to identify and adjust multiple factors that influence picture quality. Scene light source is detected and adjustments are made to capture bright whites and true, vivid colors under difficult lighting conditions, fluorescent, tungsten, or daylight. Scene content is analyzed for luminance, focal distance, subject matter orientation, and color to determine the correct exposure and capture the natural details, accurate flesh tones, and rich colors you see in your composition.
