JVC announced a new in-ear Bluetooth stereo headset for hands-free calling and music listening. The HA-W700BT offers superb stereo sound combined with excellent isolation, and up to 11 hours of use from the built-in lithium-ion rechargeable battery. For compatibility with a wide range of mobile phones and other devices, the HA-W700BT supports Bluetooth version 2.0 and Bluetooth profiles A2DP, AVRCP, HFP and HSP. Sound quality from the in-ear canal phones is assured with the 11.0 mm neodymium driver units delivering a frequency range of 10Hz to 23kHz.

The JVC Bluetooth stereo headset is comprised of two parts - the in-ear headphones and a small Bluetooth receiver. The receiver has a clip, making it convenient to wear. With the headphone portion detached, the receiver can be connected to a home audio system through a mini jack and used as a wireless stereo receiver.

JVC AA-T100BT Bluetooth transmitter
For iPod users, the optional JVC AA-T100BT Bluetooth transmitter - also announced today - is the perfect companion for the JVC HA-W700BT. The transmitter is compatible with fourth-generation and newer iPod players, plugging directly into the iPod dock connector to transmit high-quality audio to the HA-W700BT. And because the transmitter is powered by the iPod itself, no extra power supply is necessary. Users can also start and stop playback and skip tracks from the headset controls.

JVC Bluetooth headset Price & Availability
The JVC HA-W700BT is available now at a nationally advertised value of $100.00. The JVC AA-T100BT, also available now, carries a nationally advertised value of $80.00.

The Consumer Electronics Show, better known as CES, has been held annually for over 40 years now. The first CES took place in New York City in 1967 featuring 200 exhibitors and 17,500 visitors. Since that time, the total show has increased by a factor 10. This year's CES show will again take place in Las Vegas, as usual, where visitors are welcomed from January 7 to January 10. The CES event appears to become more important every year. It is the first major world event where more than 2,200 CEA (Consumer Electronics Association) members are able to display their involvement in relation to development, manufacturing, distribution and integration of consumer electronic products such as audio, photo, video, mobile communication, and accessories. The CES 2010 starts off a brand-new year, offering a peek of what we can expect in the upcoming season regarding new products and services.
