The Philips Digitally Enhanced Cordless Telephone (DECT) CD155 was showcased at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The Philips CD155 phone is designed to provide consumers with an enhanced level of crystal-clear sound and reduced noise interference for calling friends, colleagues or loved ones. The Philips CD155 DECT phone boasts ultra-secure digital encryption and far superior call clarity through greater distances than traditional analog cordless phones. In addition, all Philips DECT 6.0 phones provide outstanding battery life with up to 100% greater life than most 2.4 or 5.8 GHz models. This equals up to 12 hours of talk time. Prices: $49.99 (single) or $99.99 (multi-pack) and available in March.

In addition to functional design, the Philips CD155 DECT phone features enhancements such as varied amounts of polyphonic ringtones and phonebook storage capacities - up to 50 numbers. The Philips CD155 phone includes an answering machine that can store up to 18 minutes of messages. The FCC approved DECT 1.9 GHz in April 2005 - a frequency dedicated exclusively to voice applications - offering higher security and superior performance. Each Philips model provides digital encryption that reduces the potential for identity theft and ensures private calls remain private.
