CES report
The 4GB model of the SanDisk Sansa Clip is available in silver. Its dimensions of 55 x 34 x 17 mm (without clip) make the Sansa Clip about equal in size to the Creative Zen Stone and the Apple iPod Shuffle. The monitor of the Sansa Clip is at the top and is placed under some sort of mirror layer that covers the entire front of the MP3 player. The dual coloured OLED monitor is bright, and is easy to be viewed in virtually every light environment except direct sunlight. Its design is nicely curved and the scratchproof plastic gives it a durable feel, although the MP3 player itself feels light weighted and vulnerable.

As for the way the buttons are placed on the MP3 player, they are on the same spot as those of its big brothers; the SanDisk Sansa Fuze and the SanDisk Sansa View series. On the front, on the lower left of the huge black 'Home' button, the familiar navigation ring is positioned, which beams with a blue light when the device is activated. This gives the MP3 player a fashionable appearance. On the right side of the music player, a 3mm jack connection is found to connect headphones, with right below the volume buttons. Furthermore, the device can be set to on/off or on hold with the slide on the left side of the MP3 player. A USB connection is also found here. On top of the Sansa Clip, a microphone is placed and on the back a transparent removable clip in the same color as the MP3 player.

Even though the monitor has two colors, it keeps pace with the rest of the Sansa product line. With clear, animated icons and text, the following options are displayed on the screen; Music, Radio, Voice and settings. The navigation ring allows you to navigate through the menu which works very straightforward and intuitively. Especially those users that already have some experience when it comes to operating a Sansa MP3 player, will hardly need to spend time on learning how it all works, if any time at all. If you click down further than the main menu, a list appears with many options. The 'Music' menu offers a choice in sorting your music by genre, artist, album etc. The other menu options have almost identical structures and the functions of the buttons remain the same in every submenu.

SanDisk Sansa Clip review rating
The SanDisk Sansa Clip pleasantly surprised me in two ways. A neat design and fashionable appearance is one thing, music quality is the other and the more important thing. It is nice to see how SanDisk develop their audio technology in a short period of time, as well as extremely fast. The Sansa Clip definitely produces a fabulous sound, despite the fact that the headphones don't look suitable at first glance. The bass shows to full advantage and sounds clear and full. The Sansa Clip is an excellent MP3 player and has everything you may expect and need in order to play your own music everywhere, whilst the 4GB of memory offers sufficient storage capacity. The SanDisk Clip offers a well-structured and simple menu that is easy to work with. Read the full SanDisk Sansa review at LetsGoMobile.
