CES report
The LG Touch T80 was designed by the same designer that designed the Prada cell phones. Although the LG T80 looks slightly better than previous portable media players of the LG stable, the design still remains somewhat on the boring side. The front has a shiny coating with few buttons. One side contains the on/off/pause slide bar, the top side carries a 3mm head jack connection, and the large 3 inch WQVGA (400 x 240) Touch Screen TFT color LCD takes care of the remaining operation possibilities. With its dimensions of 3.87 x 2.18 x 0.5 inches the T80 closely resembles the Apple iPhone, however; the LG T80's weight is a lot less. What makes this LG so special is the DVB-T support that allows you to watch television, providing there is a signal close by.

LG MP3 player review
The LG T80 MP3 player offers 4GB of storage capacity which translates into approximately 1000 songs. Standard included with the T80 are a headset, USB data cable, manual and LG Media Centre software. The LG T80 MP3 player features DVB-T enabling you to watch television whenever a digital TV signal is available. Watching television on the screen is a joy to the eye. It feels like watching television on a screen that is clearer than your analogue TV, or even clearer than some computer screens. Since the signal is digital, there is no annoying noise or delay in transmission; the image stands, or is not there at all. This is extremely pleasant to watch, whilst once there is a picture; it comes undisturbed, which lets you watch television without interruptions! In order to use DVB you have to extend the antenna of the T80. This antenna is quite small and even thinner. The LG T80 can take a blow or two, however, I sometimes feared for the antenna since it looks so vulnerable.
LG T80 Music quality
I was so impressed by the DVB function; I did not expect much from the sound of the T80. However, that is just what it did: the sound surprised me pleasantly. The included in-ear-plugs, lightweight and with a comfortable fit, serve greatly and the LG delivers excellent music quality. An Equalizer and 3D sound option are also available on the T80. The Equalizer does its job well and every preset option of the Equalizer does actually optimize the sound for the genre you're listening to. It is nice to hear the tones being produced in harmony for classical music, whilst the 'dance' setting emphasizes the bass. Also available are the Bass-boost and 3D sound options. The latter allows you to imitate the sound of a discotheque, theatre or even a small room, for example. 3D Sound is fun, but not as handy and useful as the Equalizer. The supported music formats of the LG T80 are: MP3, WMA, OGG and WAV.

LG T80 MP3 player review
It's not its appearance, its body or the way the LG T80 feels. Since the multimedia player looks more like a cheap toy at first glance. Don't let the T80 fool you though, it is not a toy at all. The LG T80 MP3 player kept surprising and amazing me; time and again I discovered new options. It is this media player that LG should boast with and battle the Apple iPod Touch with, however, LG does not want to do this. In my opinion, the LG T80 is a lot more businesslike, whereas the Apple iPod Touch uses the games and a similar touchscreen as the iPhone, the LG T80 MP3 player does all of this but without any fuss, in style and in peace.
