At the 2009 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada, Samsung Electronics America introduces its new digital camera lineup for the first half of 2009. Consisting of four new models, Samsung’s new digital cameras run the gamut in terms of style and innovation and are designed for shooters of various skill levels and budgets. One of the newly introduced digital cameras is the Samsung SL102, of the popular and user-friendly SL-Series. The new SL102 digital camera features a resolution of 10.2 megapixels, offers Face Detection and is offered by rechargeable Li-Ion batteries. The Samsung SL102 features a 3x optical zoom, Digital Image Stabilization technology, and a 2.5 inch LCD. Furthermore the Samsung SL102 can record MJPEG / VGA video. The Samsung SL102 will be available in Spring 2009.

The Consumer Electronics Show, better known as CES, has been held annually for over 40 years now. The first CES took place in New York City in 1967 featuring 200 exhibitors and 17,500 visitors.
