CES report
Digital Blue, an innovator in electronics and software for the youth and teen market, unveils exciting new products from its spring 2009 line up at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Digital Blue’s ensemble of electronic gear for kids and teens includes the NightVision Digital Video Camera and the U-Turn Digital Camera. Digital Blue will apply its expertise in value-priced digital and video cameras to create these and other imagination-inspiring lines in 2009. Features will include the following.

Digital Blue’s Night Vision Video Camera
Similar to night vision optics used by the military, the NightVision Video Camera lets users see and record video in pitch black conditions. Proprietary infrared technology lets users see in the dark up to 20 feet away. Video footage is recorded right on the camera, just like an ordinary camcorder in daytime. Designed for kids and teens, NightVision lets them have fun exploring, camping, or having stealthy adventures in the dark. The recorded videos can be played back on the camera’s 2” LCD screen, on a PC, or uploaded to social networking sites like YouTube. It also features a built-in flashlight for safety, and a daytime recording mode. Digital Blue’s Night Vision Video Camera will be available this summer at major retailers. MSRP: $79.99.

Digital Blue’s U-Turn Digital Camera
Take a photo booth from an arcade, and cross it with mirrors from a fun house. Now make it fit in your hand. That’s the U-Turn Digital Camera. Its big 2.4” LCD view screen swivels from back to front so kids can see themselves mugging the camera while arm-in-arm with their BFFs. Then with the push of a button they can instantly “morph” their image with hilarious fun-house effects like stretchy head, swirls, and squatty view. The U-Turn also works like a regular digital camera, letting users shoot and store up to 80 photos at a time. Only Digital Blue’s U-Turn Digital Camera lets kids “punk their pictures” with 12 morphs at the touch of a button. Available this spring at major retailers. MSRP: $49.99.

NightVision video camera for the youth
"Digital Blue is once again leading the charge in innovative youth electronics by developing products that will not only delight, but also spark the imagination of kids and teens," said Tim Hall, CEO of Digital Blue. “Not only are these products designed to provide years of fun and entertainment, but they will also please parents with their quality and affordable price points."
