CES report
According our ‘under-cover’ source there is new (shelter) Fujifilm FinePix megazoom camera out there. We are talking about the new Fujifilm FinePix S1600 camera, a 12.2 effective Megapixel bridge camera. Cameras like this suppose to be Fujifilm’s solution for the popular DSLR and system cameras and are more advanced than the average point-and-shoot camera but less technical than SLR cameras. The Fujifilm S1600 features manually adjustable controls but unlike the DSLR or (Micro Four Thirds) system cameras the camera has a single fixed lens. It makes the Fujifilm FinePix S1600 less all-round, but also less expensive. Availability and price will be updated soon.

Fujifilm FinePix S1600 bridge camera features
The Fujifilm FinePix S1600 megazoom camera is packed with user-friendly technology and offers a versatile Fujinon 28mm wide-angle lens with 15x optical zoom, for getting up close with your subject. It will also record still images at up to 12MP resolution and capture video at 720p HD resolution. The Fujifilm S1600 offers easy-to-use automatic features. Intelligent Scene mode will adjust the camera's settings to capture the scene with the highest quality.

Shoot panorama photos with the Fujifilm S1600
Other features are panorama shooting for full landscape shots. The Panorama Shooting Mode makes it easy to create impressive panoramic photos. This mode captures and combines a number of consecutive shots, which are saved to the memory card as a panoramic picture. Furthermore the Fuji FinePix S1600 supports SD/SDHC flash memory cards. As soon as we receive more detailed information we will update this article.
