There must be someone in that marketing department that had a side job next to their study that was solely comprised of inventing silly names? Well, that person is working for several different cell phone manufacturers or there are several people that meet that profile. Take for example the following rumor: the existence of the HTC Supersonic smartphone. Supersonic? I thought that that name had disappeared with the disappearance of the Concord flights! The HTC Supersonic is supposed to be the full successor of the HTC HD2 smartphone. Why not just call that smartphone the HTC HD3? We aren’t too sure yet if it will be called HTC Supersonic of HTC HD3.

In any case, the leaked specifications of the HTC Supersonic smartphone are interesting. A fast processor combined with a huge 4.3-inch format display are to offer the required special graphics. And if we also see the popular operating system Android 2.1 combined with the ‘sensational’ Sense technology, then we can speak of a high-end Android smartphone.

We will most likely hear more about it at the coming Mobile World Congress. The HTC Supersonic Android phone can prepare itself for the big fight for the much-desired market share. The HTC Supersonic or HTC HD3's hardware seems to look good, but we will still await it with a bit of hesitancy. First we have to see that flashy hardware working with Android 2.1 and experience is if it truly is Supersonic!

The Consumer Electronics Show, better known as CES, has been held annually for over 40 years now. The first CES took place in New York City in 1967 featuring 200 exhibitors and 17,500 visitors. Since that time, the total show has increased by a factor 10. This year's CES show will again take place in Las Vegas, as usual, where visitors are welcomed from January 7 to January 10. The CES event appears to become more important every year. It is the first major world event where more than 2,200 CEA (Consumer Electronics Association) members are able to display their involvement in relation to development, manufacturing, distribution and integration of consumer electronic products such as audio, photo, video, mobile communication, and accessories. The CES 2010 starts off a brand-new year, offering a peek of what we can expect in the upcoming season regarding new products and services.
