Maxell introduces new line of replacement batteries
With sales of digital cameras projected to approach ten million units in 2002, Maxell Corporation of America is introducing during this CES show in Las Vegas a new line of replacement batteries to satisfy the increasing power demands of feature rich digital camera models in a rapidly expanding category.
The new line includes seven models of lithium-ion rechargeable batteries and a non-rechargeable primary lithium battery that together are compatible with the majority of digital cameras currently on the market.
The lithium-ion rechargeable Maxell Digital Camera Battery line-up includes (with camera brand compatibility in parentheses) the DC 3711 (Fuji, Toshiba, Kodak) for $49.99, the DC3790 (Fuji, Pentax) for $39.99, the 3772 (Kodak) for $14.99, the DC 3777 (Canon Elph) for $49.99, the DC 3778 (Canon S30/40) for $49.99, the DC 7465 (Nikon) for $39.99 and DC7466 (Nikon) for $29.99. The non-rechargeable primary lithium replacement battery (Olympus, Kodak, Casio) is the CR-V3 in a single pack for $11.99 and in a 2-pack for $19.99.
