BenQ introduced a new model today at the CES show in Las Vegas; the DC S30 digital camera. This newly added digital camera, a 3.1 megapixel model, incorporates aesthetics with ease-of-use functions that offer digital camera users style and performance.
The BenQ DC S30 features proprietary QLink image editing and management software, as well as Histogram and Image Transformation (HIT) technology. QLink software allows the management of photographs for easy photo browsing, email options, printing and basic image editing. BenQ's HIT technology enhances the range of colour hues for a more realistic display of distinct colours.
“The BenQ DC S30 offers a unique style to the photography enthusiast,” said Wroe Cheng, senior product manager of the Imaging Network Division at BenQ America "With the modern styling of the DC S30, BenQ distinguishes itself from other manufacturers by combining form and function to the digital camera. The camera is packed with a variety of features that offer high performance functionality at a reasonable price point." The 3.1 megapixel DC S30 digital camera offers striking features including an FM/MP3 radio, NTSC/PAL video system compatibility and a 1.5-inch rotating LTPS colour LCD screen. It comes with 14MB of flash memory and is SD expandable and features a 3x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom, and can be interpolated at 6.0M. The DC S30 also offers a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536 or 2848 x 2160 interpolated.
The DC S30 will be available in January 2004 at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $299.00.
