Fujifilm has announced the debut of the new Fujifilm FinePix F470, a 6.0 Megapixel digital camera featuring a 3x optical zoom lens, a large, easy-to-view 2.5-inch LCD monitor, and 16 megabytes of internal memory, all encased in a slim-line aluminium-finish body. The Fujifilm F470 is the successor to the popular Fujifilm FinePix F460, known for its easy operation and stylish, slim design. Offering a full array of basic functions and a 3x optical zoom, the FinePix F470 camera, a mere 19.7mm thick, features a grip that fits well in the hand and a mode dial that allows selection of any of three modes (Auto/SP/Movie) with a single touch, making this pocket-size digital camera remarkably simple to operate.

Fujifilm FinePix F470 Digital Camera - Scene positions on the new FinePix D470 camera are selectable via the mode dial are 10 positions, offering an array of optimized automatic photography settings to meet a variety of situations. In addition to selectable scene positions, a Manual mode enables photographers to control the image quality at will. Delivering an optimum combination of function, design, and operability, the Fujifilm FinePix F470 digital camera will be available from late March 2006.

- Landscape: shooting scenery in daylight; for crisp, clear shots
- Sport: sporting evens; priority to faster shutter speeds
- Night: evening and night scenes; shutter speeds of up to 2 seconds
- Beach & Snow: strong sunlight or snowy scenes with a lot of white
- Sunset: emphasise the vivid colours of sunsets
- Museum: flash mode and shutter sound are forcibly suppressed
- Party: weddings and indoor scenes; shooting low-light conditions
- Flower & Close-up: for clear, vivid close-up of flowers
- Text: shoot documents and white board text
