Sony Rolly

Taking center stage here at the Consumer Electronics show Sony unveiled the Rolly entertainment player. Spawned from the Sony portable audio technology and artificial intelligence, along with the company’s design and entertainment legacy, this palm-sized, egg-shaped device provides a unique combination of music, motion and fun. “The Sony Rolly is the latest example of Sony’s expertise in entertainment and technology,” said Steve Haber, senior vice president of the Digital Imaging and Audio Division at Sony Electronics. “This isn’t just another gadget; the Rolly is a sophisticated piece of entertainment technology.” The Sony Rolly device will be available this spring, price is not mentioned by Sony.

HD audio at CES 2008

DTS, Inc. returns to main floor of the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), January 7-10, Booth # 21913, South Hall, Las Vegas Convention Center, with breakthrough demonstrations of its new DTS Surround Sensation simulated surround sound technologies, innovative high definition content distribution partnership news with XStreamHD, as well as new developments in its highly regarded DTS-HD Master Audio technology (common to both Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD next generation optical disc standards). At CES, the company will be showcasing its offerings for the consumer electronics, personal computing, and digital content distribution marketplaces including live A/B demonstrations of DTS Surround Sensation headphone technology.

Packard Bell Eclipse review

The Packard Bell Eclipse comes in a nice black box. Inside it, apart from the Eclipse MP4 player (black and grey), we found a neat case, headset for your ears with two extra sets of fittings, a USB / charge cable and a short manual. The Packard Bell Eclipse only weighs 45 grams and its dimensions are 92 x 49 x 10mm. The scratchproof TFT LCD QVGA colour monitor has a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels and its format is 2.2-inch. There are three buttons available on the front of the Eclipse for managing music, pictures and videos.
