Everything you wish to know about camcorders can also be found at the CES 2010 show in Las Vegas, for both the professional as well as the amateur videographer. Camcorders have been subject to a real change of equipment. Thanks to the incredibly fast rise of the flash memory cards as storage media, the camcorder's traditional design has changed drastically. The dimensions and weight have been significantly reduced and made smaller, so that video capture can almost become a daily occupation. Online video content providers like YouTube have also experienced a spectacular growth of video uploads. The channel has already reached the milestone of over one billion views a day. Mobile phones were already able to capture video, and now that digital SLR and Micro Four Thirds cameras are also able to do so, the competition for the digital camcorder seems to only increase. The Consumer Electronics Show 2010 will unveil where the recent developments will lead us.
