Panasonic Lumix DMC-FP1

Panasonic announces new Lumix digital cameras for the 2010 line including the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FP1 digital camera. The new Panasonic DMC-FP1 has a 4x optical zoom lens with a folded optics design so the front has a flat and stylish design, featuring a newly-adopted lens cover that protects the lens, and also serves as the camera’s power switch. The 12.1 megapixel Panasonic Lumix FP1 features a 2.7” 230,000-dot LCD. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FP1 includes Intelligent LCD, which detects the lighting condition and controls the brightness level of the LCD in 11 fine steps, to offer a display with the most appropriate clarity in any situation.

Although the digital camera has become quite common, the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas shows that especially in this segment, where quality is an important factor for the user, a lot of innovation still takes place. The digital SLR camera features a traditional construction, however, thanks to the development of Micro Four Thirds, we find the market changing. And as often is the case, it is precisely the non-traditional camera manufacturers that have managed to create a new camera segment, which is expected to conquer a large market share. High-quality digital photography has become accessible to everyone. Compact cameras, digital SLR cameras and Micro Four Thirds System cameras are available for the novice amateur photographer, and come with an affordable price tag, while the professional version of the digital camera is the optimal tool for the professional.
