Garmin International, Inc., a unit of Garmin Ltd., announced a new series of nuvi navigators designed specifically for those seeking premium navigation features on a large, 5.2-inch touchscreen display. The Garmin nuvi 5000 was announced in conjunction with the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, and will be on display at the Garmin booth (South Hall 4, booth #35832). “The Garmin nuvi 5000 is ideal for those with larger vehicles that need navigation on a big screen” said Dan Bartel, Garmin’s vice president of worldwide sales. “With its easy-to-use interface and route planning features, it puts drivers in total control of the road.”

Garmin Mobile PC was announced in conjunction with the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, and will be on display at the Garmin booth(#35832, South Hall 4). “Garmin Mobile PC gives travelers an easy and inexpensive way to get more from a device they already own - their laptop,” said Dan Bartel, Garmin’s vice president of worldwide sales. “Plus, it offers many of the same real-time features found on high-end portable GPS devices like weather and fuel price information.”

Garmin nuvi 260W navigation

Garmin International, Inc., a unit of Garmin Ltd., announced the nuvi 260W, a simple-to-use widescreen personal navigation device (PND) that speaks street names. The devicewas announced in conjunction with the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, and will be on display at the Garmin booth. In addition to features offered by other members of the Garmin nuvi 200 family, the nuvi 260W automatically calls out street names (saying “turn right on Main Street” instead of “turn right in 200 feet.”). This feature lets drivers keep their eyes on the road while navigating through busy traffic and tricky roadways. The Garmin nuvi 260W also sports a sunlight-readable 4.3-inch touchscreen display.

Garmin Forerunner 405 fitness device
