SanDisk announces that it is offering encryption and online backup features across its entire retail USB portfolio. SanDisk Secure Access software protects files against unauthorized access by creating an encrypted, password-protected folder or “vault” on the USB drive. The software also includes up to 2 gigabytes (GB) of secure online backup storage offered by Dmailer. SanDisk is also expanding its USB product portfolio with two new drives to meet the needs of a broad set of customers. The SanDisk Ultra USB flash drive features faster transfer rates and the SanDisk Cruzer Edge USB drive offers easy portability.

SanDisk 128GB CompactFlash

Report CES 2011 Show - SanDisk announced the world’s fastest high-capacity CompactFlash memory card. The latest milestone in SanDisk’s long history of industry-leading products, the SanDisk Extreme Pro CompactFlash card features 128 gigabytes (128GB) of storage and up to 100 megabyte (100MB) per second (MB/sec) write speeds. With its Power Core controller and UDMA-7 interface, the new SanDisk flash memory card delivers the performance demanded by high-end Digital SLR cameras. The new 128GB SanDisk Extreme Pro CompactFlash memory card is available now for preorder at the SanDisk website, and will be available at retailers worldwide later in Q1 2011. The SanDisk 128GB CompactFlash memory card has a suggested retail price of $1,499.99.

SanDisk announced a 2 Gigabyte 2 Rock Band 2 SD gaming card, significantly increasing the storage capacity available to gamers using the Nintendo Wii console. This memory boost enables users to conveniently store additional content without worrying about running out of space. The SanDisk 2GB Rock Band 2 SD gaming card is expected to be available for U.S. retailers this Spring, and carries a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $12.99.

The SanDisk Sansa slotRadio music player is a small, stylish, portable music device that comes bundled with a slotRadio card preloaded with 1,000 songs handpicked from the Billboard charts, and professionally arranged into a variety of genre-themed playlists. The SanDisk player comes bundled with a slotRadio mix card containing 1,000 songs. It features a variety of playlists from Billboard’s charts, including rock, contemporary, country, and others organized into themes.

SanDisk mobile phone memory cards

SanDisk Corporation unveiled its next-generation of flash memory-based solid-state drives (SSD) to support the evolving needs of designers, manufacturers and users in the exploding netbook market - SanDisk pSSD. The new SanDisk pSSD-P2 and SanDisk pSSD-S2 SSDs have capacity and performance for more full-featured netbooks which require a robust operating system. Designed as drop-in replacements for hard-disk drives (HDDs), SanDisk’s new second generation module has a SATA interface to meet new netbook design requirements. The SATA interface offers a significant boost in performance rendering these SSDs faster than HDDs in critical aspects. Booting and launching applications takes just half the time of an HDD.

SanDisk Sansa Fuze player review

The SanDisk Sansa Fuze is a media player with a 1.9 inch screen, a microSD memory slot and, according to the specifications, the Sansa Fuze offers the longest battery-life ever of the entire Sansa series. According to SanDisk, the Sansa Fuze plays 24 hours non-stop music without having to recharge the battery. The microSD flash memory card slot enables enhancing the memory to a maximum of 16GB. The SanDisk Sansa music player series was launched into the market in one sudden blow, and the Sansa Fuze is already the next gem in this great line of music players. The SanDisk Sansa Fuze supposedly features an improved interface compared to its predecessor, the Sansa View, as well as an improved operating system to get this MP3 player ready to battle the third Apple iPod Nano generation.
