SanDisk announced a 2 Gigabyte 2 Rock Band 2 SD gaming card, significantly increasing the storage capacity available to gamers using the Nintendo Wii console. This memory boost enables users to conveniently store additional content without worrying about running out of space. The SanDisk 2GB Rock Band 2 SD gaming card is expected to be available for U.S. retailers this Spring, and carries a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $12.99.

SanDisk mobile phone memory cards

SanDisk, a global leader in flash memory products, announced at the CES 2009 in Las Vegas that it will be shipping its 16 gigabyte (GB) SanDisk Mobile Ultra microSDHC and Memory Stick Micro (M2) mobile memory cards - the world’s largest removable flash storage capacity for mobile phones - in January 2009. This increased memory capacity, coupled with the high performance of the SanDisk Mobile Ultra flash memory line, allows consumers to further take advantage of the many storage-intensive features offered by today’s multimedia phones such as music playback, digital photo and video camera functions, gaming and GPS navigation applications.

SanDisk Video HD cards

Consumers who own camcorders that use flash memory cards instead of tape will now be able to select the right storage media for their cameras with the debut of a video card line from SanDisk Corporation. As the first of a new category of storage media, SanDisk Video HD cards will be available in SDHC (high-capacity) and Memory Stick PRO Duo formats, and will be identified by minutes of recording time as well as by capacity. SanDisk unveiled the high performance video card product family during a press conference at the Consumer Electronics Show, where the company is exhibiting at Booth 30768 in South Hall 3 of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

SanDisk microSDHC 12GB

The Consumer Electronics Show, better known as CES, has been held annually for over 40 years now. The first CES took place in New York City in 1967 featuring 200 exhibitors and 17,500 visitors. Since that time, the total show has increased by a factor 10. This year's CES show will again take place in Las Vegas, as usual, where visitors are welcomed from January 7 to January 10. The CES event appears to become more important every year. It is the first major world event where more than 2,200 CEA (Consumer Electronics Association) members are able to display their involvement in relation to development, manufacturing, distribution and integration of consumer electronic products such as audio, photo, video, mobile communication, and accessories. The CES 2010 starts off a brand-new year, offering a peek of what we can expect in the upcoming season regarding new products and services.
