Sony has doubled the capacity of its new high speed Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX, giving customers a massive 16GB of storage. Fast read/write speeds and a free USB adapter make the latest Memory Stick ideal for transferring pictures to a PC from HD camcorders or continuous-shooting DSLRs. The inclusion of a free USB adaptor makes it very simple to transfer data onto a PC or notebook, and ensures optimum performance. With 20MB/s read and 15MB/s write1, data transfer times are more than three times faster than the current PRO-Duo can achieve. The Consumer Electronics Show, better known as CES, has been held annually for over 40 years now. The first CES took place in New York City in 1967 featuring 200 exhibitors and 17,500 visitors. Since that time, the total show has increased by a factor 10. This year's CES show will again take place in Las Vegas, as usual, where visitors are welcomed from January 7 to January 10. The CES event appears to become more important every year. It is the first major world event where more than 2,200 CEA (Consumer Electronics Association) members are able to display their involvement in relation to development, manufacturing, distribution and integration of consumer electronic products such as audio, photo, video, mobile communication, and accessories. The CES 2010 starts off a brand-new year, offering a peek of what we can expect in the upcoming season regarding new products and services.
